2018 saw us planning no less than 3 wedding’s for couple’s who live in Australia. This is not the first time we have undertaken remote  wedding planning, but it was the first time we had find venue’s for each couple without them ever coming over to view a selection and make their own choice, so the responsibility was huge for us, as our recommendations were the only thing our couple’s had to rely on!

Well thanks to skype, facetime, skype and a few “home videos” we got there. Our first couple, Steph and Paul arrived in early June, they had chosen a rural country house for their wedding celebrations, situated in a beautiful valley near Casares. Villa Bermeja was a huge success, Steph and Paul lovely the outstanding natural beauty and the peace and quiet. This was a very family orientated wedding, with most friends and family coming from Ireland . Children loved the extensive gardens and pool. We helped guests who did not stay at the villa to find nearby hotels and holiday homes, organising coaches for them all to come to and from the wedding villa. Catering was provided over 2 days by Sana Catering, who did an amazing job of navigating the country lanes to the villa with their catering vans!

Despite the distances involved, Steph and Paul were very “hands on” with their input and ideas, we skyped regularly during the year leading up to their wedding day. They wanted a relaxed, rustic themed decoration for the day. We really enjoyed our time with this lovely couple and appreciated the level of trust they put in us, from finding their venue to creating the decoration on the day.
