We got married in Spain in June 2006 with the help of Marbella Marriages. Our service was in the Church in Los Bolliches (near Fuengirola) and our reception was in Val Paraiso restaurant in Mijas.

We went over to the area a year earlier to meet our co-ordinator in person and to choose both the church and restaurant. I would strongly advise that you do this because it is great to envisage where you will be and what you would like to have there, e.g. flowers candles etc.

Marbella Marriages was brilliant in the lead up to the wedding, I e-mailed A LOT (so many times that I lost count!) to make sure everything was going ok and each time they replied with reassuring words. They were able to answer all our questions and I knew we could trust her to look after things. They organised an Irish priest for the mass and looked after all the paperwork and registering of the marriage.

It can be hard to leave all your wedding plans to someone you don’t know but with Marbella Marriages we felt at ease as they kept us up to date on all the goings on over there and was also interested to hear how things were going on our side.

Our wedding day was just as we’d imagined, we travelled by Limo and had a bus organised which transported our guests to both the Church and reception, meaning that everyone was looked after. The Church looked beautiful and the restaurant was fantastic with live music and Flamenco dancers. Each stage of our day was organised to a tee and everyone (hair, make-up, photographers and limo) arrived in plenty of time. It really was a fantastic day, as the old saying goes, it was “the best day of our lives!
